Bottlecap Vikings
Players take the role of tiny Vikings sailing around a bottlecap, gathering gold and wood through looting and plundering. Resources improve each player’s city, unlocking abilities and providing victory points. The game uses a randomized, double-sided rondel, creating different action layouts from game to game. Players develop their cities along branching paths and pursue one of two victory conditions while managing a push-your-luck damage system: pressing forward can yield greater rewards, but fallen Vikings may eventually be claimed by the Valkyries.

Evan10,0 I don't understand how this game got published. First, it's not fun. some players just float around punching and getting punched while other players sail around untouched, all to do with starting spot choices. Second, on your player board, where you unlock new abilities, the token that marks the unlock covers the ability so you can't see it. Third, there are abilities where the iconography CLEARLY doesn't match up at all to what's written in the rulebook. Third, why in god's name is the icon for taking damage the same as the icon for removing damage? :nostar: Art, Iconography and components functional :nostar: Clever or interesting mechanisms :star: Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players :nostar: Multiple plays stay interesting :nostar: Low or mitigatable luck elements :nostar::nostar::nostar::nostar::nostar: Raw enjoyment
