I giocatori vestono i panni di signori della guerra rivali, assemblano una squadra di dadi avventurieri e combattono faccia a faccia su un campo di battaglia condiviso. A ogni turno, i giocatori lanciano i propri dadi per generare risorse, acquistano e scelgono nuovi dadi da aggiungere alla loro riserva, schierano i personaggi e risolvono gli attacchi contro il signore della guerra avversario. Per ogni tipo di dado esistono più facce-carta, permettendo ai giocatori di scegliere quale carta assegnare e specializzare i dadi per supportare strategie diverse. Il set include personaggi e mostri tratti da un'ambientazione di campagna high fantasy; ulteriori carte e dadi sono disponibili nelle espansioni e nelle confezioni foil, per ampliare le opzioni di creazione della squadra e la propria collezione.
