Shadows of Brimstone: Forbidden Fortress

Un dungeon crawler cooperativo ambientato nel Giappone feudale, dove un gruppo di Eroi affronta demoni invasori, fantasmi e mostruosi yokai all’interno di una fortezza corrotta e nelle interiora aliene di una creatura vivente. I giocatori scelgono classi di personaggi distintive — Samurai, Ninja, Monaco Yamabushi o Incantatrice — e fanno evolvere i propri Eroi nel corso di una campagna, ottenendo equipaggiamento, abilità ed esperienza tra una missione e l’altra, mentre fanno rifornimento in un villaggio e si preparano per la spedizione successiva. Il gioco utilizza tessere della mappa generate dinamicamente e missioni guidate da scenari, mettendo i giocatori contro ondate di nemici a tema (Oni, Tengu, samurai non morti, orrori tentacolari e grandi mostri boss), mentre combattono, esplorano e affrontano eventi con carte, dadi e segnalini.

    Amazing sandbox game mixing Feudal Japan and supernatural horror. This improves on the original core sets with more complex tiles presenting barriers on them. PROS - Incredibly cinematic. It's dripping theme in every single card. With a tiny bit of imagination, playing SoB is like watching a movie in which you can take decisions. - The possibilities are literally endless. Hundreds of different missions, enemies, items, chart results... you will never see everything this game has to offer. - Magnificent for solo play. The game never stops surprising you, and almost any situation you can think of can happen in it. CONS - Its footprint is HUGE. Literally impossible to play on normal tables, apart from storing all the boxes, etc. - It is a dice festival. If you don't like rolling dice, avoid this game at all costs.
