Heredity: The Book of Swan

Players control a family trying to survive in a post‑apocalyptic world across a five‑chapter campaign that runs about 12–15 hours. The game is cooperative and narrative: players manage four playable characters while a young family member acts as a non‑playable character, and collectively decide action order using each character’s action tokens placed on head, torso, and legs cards. Scenarios use modular terrain, character and item cards, and a timeline of event cards rather than a fixed turn order. Players explore, talk to NPCs, move, search, fight, and equip or craft items by matching symbols on cards. A karma deck resolves checks and combat and evolves based on choices, affecting morale, actions, and the story’s outcome.
