The Guerrilla Generation: Cold War Insurgencies in Latin America

A collection of four linked COIN scenarios that model Cold War insurgencies in Uruguay, Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Peru between 1968 and 1992. Each scenario represents a different insurgent type—rural popular movements, urban guerrillas, externally backed raiders, and ideologically driven terrorists—and simulates their organization, strategies, and interactions with civilians and state forces. Gameplay uses asymmetric factions managing resources, influence, and operations on a shared map; the Nicaragua and El Salvador scenarios include an optional combined campaign that runs them side-by-side for a broader regional experience.
