Gunkimono

Players act as competing daimyo in war‑torn feudal Japan, marshaling troops, erecting strongholds, and maneuvering for honor and territory. On each turn, players deploy squads of soldiers represented by coloured tiles; placing tiles scores points immediately or can be withheld to invest in upgrading a stronghold track for larger endgame rewards. Players also watch opponents’ forces and adjust placements to limit rival expansion and exploit openings on the map.
