Medieval Realms

Players assume the roles of medieval kings and develop their realms over seven rounds. Each round has two phases: first, players secretly assign leaders (mayors, generals, admirals) to spots on their player boards to collect resources such as gold, production, materials, science, culture, religion and battle points. In the second phase, players spend resources to take cards from a central row. Ten card types (leaders, cities, markets, islands, territories, wars, castles, science, religion and culture) use three acquisition mechanisms: bidding, hand management and majority scoring. The game tracks economic development and area control; the player with the most victory points at the end wins.
