The Force marker sits on the track to show which player the Force currently favors; certain cards and effects move the marker and its position determines who gains the Force advantage at relevant times (see page 9).

You may purchase any card unless it has a faction restriction — cards with a faction affiliation can only be bought by that faction (rules on faction affiliation and purchase restrictions; see pages 12 and 15).

Committed cards still have abilities but timing matters: you may only use an ability when its timing window applies (and some abilities can’t be used after committing), so follow the ability’s timing and tilt cards as a reminder after use (see pages 16 and 24).

Damage dealt to a base is placed on that base and is tracked against its hit points; when damage equals or exceeds the base’s hit points it is destroyed and any effects from its destruction occur as described (see page 18).

Exile removes a card from the game into the exile zone rather than the discard pile; the rules specify when effects send cards to exile and the restrictions on returning exiled cards (see page 26).

When you need to draw but your deck is empty, immediately shuffle your discard pile to form a new deck and continue drawing; empty-deck reforming and draw procedures are covered in the end-of-turn and deck-reforming rules (see pages 21 and 27).
