Awélé

Players take turns sowing seeds from one of their pits and moving counterclockwise, distributing one seed per pit. When the last sown seed lands in an opponent’s pit that contains one or two seeds, those seeds are captured and added to the captor’s store. The aim is to capture more seeds than the opponent; play continues until a player cannot move or a capture threshold ends the game. The game uses a two-row board of pits and small counters (seeds or stones) and features simple, tactical choices about which pit to sow from and when to create or avoid capture opportunities.
