Players recruit and place crew members, train animals like horses and eagles, and spend provisions to launch attacks or fulfil objectives. Actions include assembling a tableau of warriors and equipment, assigning riders to raid locations on a shared map, resolving combat and looting, and converting plunder into victory points. The game ends when only a few settlements or quests remain on the board, and the player with the most victory points from raids, plunder and completed quests wins.
