The Palaces of Carrara (Second Edition)

Players acquire marble from Tuscany, buy building and statue tiles, and construct a city to score points. Each round a market sets marble prices that all players can use, so buying cheap helps opponents as well as oneself. Actions include selecting marble, hiring craftsmen to improve access to resources, and purchasing building or statue tiles to place in one’s tableau. An advanced mode adds statues and additional scoring paths that change the balance between raw-material acquisition and building investment.
