Bonfire

Players take the roles of gnomes trying to rekindle extinguished bonfires that once lit nearby cities. On each turn players place and match three-colour tiles on a personal board to generate specific action tiles, then spend those actions to move a ship, visit islands, accept tasks from guardians, recruit helpers, add landscape tiles, invite guardians into their city, or trigger guardian processions to gain resources. The game proceeds until a set number of tasks are completed, then each player takes a few final turns. Scoring awards points for completed tasks (re-lit bonfires) and city improvements such as portals, landscapes, guardians, and recruited gnomes.

Muy feld con los múltiples caminos para puntuar y la tensión de la gestión de acciones (cómo gastarlas y conseguirlas y cómo construir los combos con las losetas en el tablero). Muy entretenido y con un tema curioso

Pytania o zasady

Odpowiedzi z instrukcji od asystenta zasad Ludoya.

Can I place a Fate Tile anywhere on my Fate Area, and how many Action Tiles do I get when I place one?

You must take the top or bottom Fate Tile from your supply and place it orthogonally adjacent to at least one already-placed tile, without protruding beyond the Fate Area or covering another tile; you then gain the three Action Tiles shown on that Fate Tile, plus additional Tiles for any matching symbols adjacent to connected areas, and any object shown when you cover a Gold or yellow symbol (Page 7).

I don't have the exact colored Action Tile required — can I substitute tiles when paying Action costs?

Yes: if you must pay a specific Action Tile you don't have, you may substitute either 1 yellow Action Tile or any 2 Action Tiles in its place (Page 8).

How much do I pay to move my Ship or to build Path Tiles, and do I get the island action for free after moving?

The first time you move your Ship you may pay 1 Action Tile to go to any island; subsequent moves cost 1/2/3 Action Tiles depending on distance (1 for a single route, 2 for two steps, 3 to any island), and building Path Tiles costs 1 Action Tile for any of the first three face-up tiles or 2 Action Tiles for any of the last three; immediately after moving you may perform the island's action but must still pay its normal Action Tile/Resource costs (Page 8).

Do I have to have my Ship at an island to take a Task, and what do I pay when receiving a Task?

Your Ship must be at the island to receive a Task; pay Action Tiles equal to how many of your Offering Tiles are already on that island (1st=1, 2nd=2, 3rd=3), choose one of your two face-up Offering Tiles and pay the two Resources shown (the Offering Tile’s resource + the island’s resource), then place the chosen Offering Tile face down on the island and take the Task to a Task space on your board (Page 9).

When I flip a fulfilled Task to ignite a Bonfire where does the Novice go, and can I also place Neutral Novices?

Flip a met Task to ignite the Bonfire, take the Novice next to that Bonfire and place it on any High Council space that does not already have a Novice of that color, gaining the bonus shown on that space; Neutral Novices are placed via fulfilling Common Tasks and may be placed on the High Council as a Bonus Action (you may perform Bonus Actions any number of times on your turn) (Page 11).

When I make a Procession how do Guardians move and when do they give Resources versus scoring?

Pay one or more Action Tiles to advance your Guardians (starting with the one furthest along); for each step you may either move a Guardian one step forward and gain the Resource if its movement ends there, or move a Guardian from a Path Tile to an adjacent Bonfire via a Portal (which grants no Resources immediately but scores Points in Final Scoring), and each Path Tile/Bonfire can hold only one Guardian (Page 10).
