Players manage a small East Frisian farm across four and a half years, working seasonal cycles to develop land, buildings and resources. Actions include constructing dikes, draining bogs, sowing and harvesting flax, breeding and tending livestock, and expanding farm infrastructure. Players allocate workers and use multiple action spaces to process goods, trade, and fulfill local demands as seasons change. This edition bundles the base game with an expansion that adds new locations, cards and options for trade and maritime activity, increasing strategic choices for one or two players.
