Chess 90 Degrees is a board game for 2 players. It plays in 10–60 minutes and is meant for ages 8 and up.

A modern chess variant played on an L-shaped board, with players starting beside each other rather than facing across the board. The altered layout changes movement, openings, and strategy, while making promotion easier and giving pawns greater influence. Players use the full set of 32 pieces and still win by checkmating the opposing king.
