Civolution
Players act as patron deities guiding a humanoid civilization on an isolated continent through four eras. The game combines a tech-tree card tableau with a dice-selection mechanic: players roll and assign dice to trigger actions, research technologies, evolve traits, and deploy unique cards that alter capabilities and scoring. Environmental conditions and random elements change between rounds, forcing adaptation as players balance cultural, technical and evolutionary development. The game rewards long-term planning and engine-building over multiple paths; each playthrough exposes only a subset of the available strategies and card interactions.

The game has a light civilization theme. It's not the a traditional civilization game. You can start building or evolve your civilization any shape you like, Theme is not important which I like the decision making depending on the results of the dice which is more tactical than long term strategy. You have to try to maximize the amount of points within the 4th phase of each era. Every action you do can gain points. If you plan to procreate and migrate that will allow you to gain more resources and points. Every mechanism has some relation helping you gain pts. So far 5 plays and always wanting to play more against the solo
Javo10,0 Su despliegue abruma pero luego no es tan fiero. 22 acciones muy lógicas que te harán sentir que cada partida es única. Mucha rejugabilidad y muchas estrategias validas. Gran juego! En solitario funciona de maravillas
Regelfrågor
Besvarat ur regelboken av Ludoyas regelassistent.
Can I move into a territory that already has another tribe’s encampment, and what happens to the displaced tribe?
Yes — you may displace a tribe when migrating into an occupied territory: the displaced tribe is placed into the wilderness (keeps its current upright/lying state) and your migrating tribe takes the vacated encampment but must be laid down (weakened). (Rulebook p15)
How exactly do I install a research card — do I have to pay materials or do costs change by stage?
You pick the column (or must use the existing column for that card type), the card is installed in the lowest free stage and only the leftmost cost spaces for that stage are active; you must fulfill all active cost spaces by returning materials or meeting feature requirements, then gain any success points and instant bonus before inserting the card. (Rulebook pp24–25)
When do I perform an income chip’s action — and what happens when I take an income chip?
When you take an income chip you immediately install it and perform its action once; thereafter the chip remains in your stage partition, its action automatically triggers each Income phase, and you can also use a separate key action to perform one of your income-chip actions (or take 1 success point instead). (Rulebook p23)
How does feeding work at the end of an era — what if I can’t pay for a tribe’s food?
Each encampment or boat tribe costs 1 food and each wilderness tribe costs 2 (farms make encampment tribes automatically fed and reduce wilderness cost to 1); any tribe you don’t feed is weakened (strong → laid down) or dies (weak → returned to your supply), and you may use the Deus ex machina special action to save a dying tribe by moving your Favor disc back one step. (Rulebook p33)
How do favor tests work — can I change or influence my fate dice?
You roll all your fate dice and pass depending on how far your disc is on the Favor of Agera track (higher spaces allow more successful faces or auto-pass on the rightmost); you may spend idea markers to increase or decrease a fate die’s value by one per marker before resolving the test. (Rulebook p17)
How are scoring categories like Technology, Evolution and Expansion calculated at era scoring?
Each category has a defined unit: Technology (and other progress tracks) scores by multiplying your disc’s space on that progress track by the category points, Evolution scores by multiplying your total feature markers by the points, and Expansion scores by multiplying the number of territories where you have at least one tribe by the points; final scoring proceeds through each category as described and determines the starting civilization for the next era. (Rulebook pp35–36)
