Tiny Epic Galaxies

Players each run a galactic empire and expand by colonizing contested planets and building an armada. A dice-rolling combo system determines available actions: move ships, gain energy or culture, advance political or economic tracks, and colonize planets. Players resolve actions in any order on their turn while opponents may follow actions by spending resources, creating constant interaction even off-turn. Colonized planets grant victory points and special abilities; managing dice, resources, and timing of boosts drives engine growth and pursuit of secret objectives.

Played with 2. Nice small game about conquering galaxies through dice rolling with several options for dice result mitigation. We'll dee how I rank it after further plays

Re-bought the game after the Hungarian release. Update: So... now that I own the game for the 3rd time (1st edition, 2nd edition and now the Hungarian one), I'm starting to realize that it might simply not for me. Played a solo game and it just felt clumsy. The gameplay is decent (not particularly great), but I really do think the "tininess" gets in the way. The components would need to be just a little bigger (20-30%) and it would make a huge difference in my opinion. The dice are flimsy, the markers & the ships (that are already a little too small) barely fit on the spaces of the galaxy mats. It just feels wrong to me... and I'm not even *that* clumsy of a person. I'll definitely give it one last chance and play another 2p game, but I have a feeling it won't stay in my collection for long. Well, I do like it more now, it's definitely not perfect but it's a fine game. Keeping it for now (It takes up very little space anyway).

Regelfrågor

Besvarat ur regelboken av Ludoyas regelassistent.

Do I immediately claim a planet card and its VPs when my ship lands/finishes the colony track?

When a ship reaches the final space of a colony track (colonizes) you claim that planet card and immediately score its Victory Points (page 7).

What's the difference between landing and orbiting — do they give different benefits?

Landing places a ship on the planet surface and allows it to advance the colony track, while orbiting keeps the ship in orbit where it still produces resources but does not advance colonization (pages 5–6).

Can other players "follow" my die activation, and what happens to used dice?

Yes — when you activate a die other players may take the same action by following; activated dice become used/inactive and then follow the normal reroll/end‑of‑turn rules (page 4).

How does the Converter work — can I change a die to any value?

Using the Converter you change one die by spending two other inactive dice as the cost, allowing you to set that die to a different face (page 9).

What ends the game — do I stop immediately when someone hits 21 VP?

When a player reaches 21 Victory Points the round is finished so all players get the same number of turns, then the game ends and Secret Missions are revealed for final scoring (pages 4, 9).

Is there a limit to how many resources I can hold?

Yes — resource tracks have a maximum of 7 and you cannot advance past that limit (page 6).
