1E Heroic Abilities
A six-page supplement for OSRIC and other 1E fantasy roleplaying games, adding class-based ways for characters of any class to increase their prime requisite ability scores. It expands the benefits of exceptional ability scores beyond percentile Strength and introduces Heroic Effort, allowing characters to improve abilities at critical moments. Chance remains part of the system, while the rules avoid easily stackable bonuses and preserve the character of First Edition play.
