Adventurer's Option: Strained and Battered

This 4e supplement introduces rules for representing the physical strain of a brutal day of adventuring. Characters’ endurance and recovery are affected after prolonged combat, giving their condition at the end of the day a lasting impact without tracking specific injuries or adding substantial complexity. The rules build on the game’s existing health and rest systems, adding a grittier dimension to extended recovery while keeping characters functional and avoiding excessive penalties.
