A desert realm inspired by ancient Egypt is ruled by an evil dragon Planeswalker, while the city of Naktamun remains a small safe haven from an undead infestation. Characters may be initiates from the same crop, viziers, or dissenters challenging the established order. The five trials of the gods provide a structure for adventures and campaigns. Characters can undertake the trials together, serve the gods or viziers, defend the Hekma, join desert hunting expeditions, or work to undermine Naktamun’s social order. The trials frame stories about loyalty, ambition, knowledge, and strength, while relationships among the characters and the wider world drive the campaign.
