In the 21st century, the Tyrell Corporation creates Nexus 6 Replicants, artificial humans designed for strength, agility, and intelligence. After a rebellion in a space colony, Replicants are outlawed on Earth, and specialized police units known as Blade Runners are ordered to track down and eliminate those who remain.
