Bridge Gatehouse

A fortified gatehouse stands at one end of a stone bridge, serving as a defensive stronghold and checkpoint. It houses an armed garrison, a duty office for inspecting passing goods, storage rooms for seized cargo, guardposts, and corridors with arrowslits. Double iron portcullises control access, while spiral staircases connect the two upper levels and underground level.
