Decktective: The Gaze of the Ghost

Players cooperate as investigators examining a 3D crime scene in a museum to solve a single mysterious case. On each turn, a player either plays a card face up to share its information with the group or discards a card face down to the archive, which cannot be discussed until the investigation ends. Cards carry numeric values and game rules restrict when a card may be played based on the current archive size, forcing trade-offs between revealing and withholding clues. The group discusses findings, forms hypotheses, and answers several end‑game questions; each correct answer scores points that determine the final outcome.

La idea era buena, pero la ejecución pésima. Las mecánicas son interesantes y podrían haber dado lugar a un buen reto con una historia interesante. Y lo intenta, pero falla miserablemente. La historia acaba siendo aburrida y sin sentido. Y aunque el misterio principal tiene sentido, algunas soluciones no tienen ningún sentido (supongo para que no sea sencillo hacer el 100%). Al menos esta es la sensación de jugarlo en solitario. Tal vez jugándolo entre varios jugadores da más pie a formular teorías y discutirlas, lo que haría el juego más divertido. ---- The idea is good, but the execution is terrible. The mechanics are interesting and could have led to a good challenge with an engaging story. It tries, but fails miserably. The story ends up being boring and pointless. And while the main mystery makes sense, some of the solutions doesn't make any sense (I suppose to make it difficult to achieve 100%). At least, that's the feeling when playing it solo. Perhaps playing it with several players encourages more theory-making and discussion, which would make the game more fun.
