A dark fantasy setting for a complete, ready-to-run campaign on the world of Tarth. The story begins in a familiar realm of elves, dwarves, orcs, and humans, before mysterious and bloodthirsty Masters plunge the land into eternal night. Player characters start as Novices and develop into heroic adventurers as the invasion unfolds toward its bloody conclusion. The 144-page hardback includes new Edges and Hindrances, supernatural powers, spells, weapons, magical items, and rules for creating and advancing a party of heroes. Game Masters receive a scene-by-scene campaign, the secrets of Tarth’s ancient past, new monsters, adventure generators, and guidance for using the setting in a conventional fantasy campaign set before the main story.
