Fallschirmjaeger: The Airborne Assault on Fortress Holland

A tactical simulation of the German airborne assault on Rotterdam and The Hague, 10–14 May 1940. Players command platoon- and company-level formations across a 0.6-mile hex map, resolving 8-hour turns as German paratroopers attempt to seize key objectives and hold until ground relief arrives. The German side must execute an air-bridge insertion, secure terrain and resist Dutch counterattacks while operating with limited resources. The Dutch player organizes local defenses, attempts to contain and destroy isolated airborne units, and delays German relief efforts. Rules cover movement, combat, reinforcement timing, and terrain effects; solitaire playability is medium and playtime ranges from about 2 to 12 hours.
