Flames of War: Devil's Charge – The German Offensive: Battle of the Bulge, December 1944
A tactical World War II wargame set during the Ardennes offensive of December 1944. Players command German and Allied forces in a winter campaign, manoeuvring infantry, armor and artillery across constrained terrain and road networks. Gameplay uses scenario-driven objectives, force organization and turn-based activations to simulate supply limits, unit fatigue and fuel shortages. Players balance timed attacks, counterattacks and reinforcement timing while managing line-of-sight, terrain effects and combined-arms coordination. Scenarios recreate the strategic gamble of a surprise offensive against exhausted, under-supplied opponents and emphasize small-unit tactics, positional advances and the interplay of mobility and attrition.
