It includes advice on creating scenarios and managing sessions, along with over 100 creatures and adversaries, from animals and fairies to monsters, revenants, spirits, and human antagonists. The book also presents a chronology of European incidents from 1765 to 1820, Gothic genre conventions, rules for personifications of Death and the Devil, expanded drug and disease rules, 27 weird objects from real-world lore, and guidance for adjudicating human capacities and limits.
