Harlequinade (Version 5)
Players control Victims moving through Nightmares in an Ideal World overseen by a Harlequin acting as game master. Each Victim has ratings in eight primary attributes, derived combat attributes, an Archetype, and money to spend on Props. Actions are resolved as either resisted or unresisted tests. Resisted actions compare each participant’s attribute, difficulty modifier, and 2d6 result, while unresisted actions use a different calculation in which a result below zero succeeds. Double 1s always succeed, and double 6s always fail.
