Players take the roles of exploratory scouts aboard the IISS Spartan Wainwright, conducting a Class IVb survey of the N-83-Aleph system. They investigate potentially habitable planets, encounter the descendants of a long-lost crew, survive unfamiliar flora and fauna, and uncover the aftermath of a system-wide tragedy. This self-contained science-fiction adventure focuses on exploration, investigation, and problem-solving, with options to expand it into a short campaign.
