Several months after Pokémon begin appearing around the world, society adapts to their presence. Companies and scientists study the creatures, while Poké Balls, Candies, and Stardust enable people to capture, strengthen, and evolve them. Players create a trainer by selecting abilities, Pokémon, items, and other advantages from a point-based set of choices, then determine how they enter this changing world.
