Scorched Earth

A detailed operational-level simulation of the Eastern Front from spring 1942 through the end of 1944 that requires the base game to play. Two sides (or teams) command Axis and Soviet forces across three large maps covering the Volga, the Caspian coast, and the Caucasus region. Players maneuver thousands of counters representing divisions, corps, specialized brigades, artillery batteries, and air units, manage lend-lease shipments and evolving armored/mechanized formations, and resolve combat, partisans, oilfield effects, and defections or surrender of Axis allies. Scenarios include separate 1941 or 1942 campaigns or a grand campaign to late 1944, with extensive orders of battle and expanded rules for late-war weapon types and operational features.
