Shine a Light
Players portray a group of friends and acquaintances living their everyday lives in a chosen location and subculture, including a young person with an unusual secret religion. The focus is on coming of age and the pressures of ordinary circumstances rather than a central crisis. Play centers on relaxed improvisation and conversation, with participants riffing off the game’s prompts and one another. The group creates brief moments, exchanges, and skit-like scenes instead of developing a continuous plot.
