Something Stirs in the Blackscale Brakes
A campaign framework set in and around the Blackscale Brakes, a forest transformed into an expanding swamp. Humans settle its borders to escape or exploit the wetlands, elves seek to restore them, and lizardfolk defend their territory from outsiders while other dangers lurk within. The framework provides three core threats, optional dangers, four settlements, a compendium class, and new monsters, dungeon gear, and magic items. It supports starting or expanding a campaign as characters investigate what stirs in the swamp and determine whether an ancient evil awakens.
