The Absent-Minded Alchemist
This short two-encounter adventure is designed for a group of level 1 characters and can be inserted into an ongoing campaign. It centers on Zaelin, a talented but careless alchemist whose discarded mixtures have seeped into the sewers beneath his home. The contaminated runoff has affected the local rats, filling the alchemist’s basement with unusually dangerous creatures. The characters investigate the infestation, confront the alchemically altered rats, and may gain information or assistance from the troubled NPC.
