The Black Madonna
This adventure module for Twilight: 2000 is set in postwar Silesia, where the players search for a valuable religious icon amid the ruins of Częstochowa. Its fate is uncertain: it may have been taken east by Soviet forces, hidden by Polish patriots, destroyed in the bombing, carried west by NATO troops, or buried beneath the city. The module also details life in southwest Poland after the war, including surviving cities, available resources, local rulers, bandit camps, major powers, and damaged or recovering industrial facilities. The search for the icon may offer Poland a symbol around which to rebuild.
