The Gravity of the Crime
The crew goes undercover on the pre-contact planet Kalmur to investigate the apparent death of a Federation observation team member during an artificial-gravity experiment. The accident killed everyone in the laboratory, but local detective Lanox suspects sabotage and believes the crew may have used advanced technology to commit the impossible locked-room murder. To prove their innocence, the crew must help solve the case while avoiding violations of the Prime Directive. Evidence from the remains suggests that Lieutenant Li may still be alive and held captive by the killer, forcing the investigation to continue.
