The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game – Nightmare Deck: The Nîn-in-Eilph

This scenario recasts the marshland passage in a harder, Nightmare Mode version that replaces specified encounter cards with darker, more punishing effects. Players control their hero decks and attempt to advance through quest stages while managing an encounter deck that adds recurring Time X quest stages which shuffle back into the quest deck if not completed promptly. The game forces fast progress through late-stage quests or risk escalating threat and sinking heroes in the mire. The encounter deck fills the staging area with creatures and locations that trigger disruptive Forced effects, so players balance questing, enemy engagement, and resource allocation to survive the repeated cycling of stages.
