Can I use the same Herb Witch more than once, or do I need its matching Witch Penny?
Each Herb Witch can be used only once per game, and you must spend the Witch Penny matching its color to activate it. Any Witch Pennies you keep are worth 2 victory points each at game end (pp. 1–2).
What happens if I reach or go past space 33 and draw more chips?
Place the chip that reaches or passes 33 on space 33, then put any further chips you draw in your overflow bowl. If your pot hasn’t exploded, you can still roll the Bonus Die; when scoring, take the spoon’s 15 points and 35 coins, then score half the total value of chips in the bowl, rounded down (p. 3).
Can I upgrade an orange Pumpkin chip from a 1 to a 6?
No. Orange chips can’t be upgraded by ingredient books, Herb Witches, or Fortune Teller cards; they simply fill 1 or 6 spaces and have no other action (p. 3).
Does Locoweed always have the same value?
No—its value changes according to the Locoweed rule in the ingredient book you’re using. The rulebook describes different effects for Locoweed, so follow the one printed in your chosen book (pp. 3–4).
If white chips are in my overflow bowl, do they count for anything?
Yes. They still count toward the total value of cherry bombs, but chips in the overflow bowl don’t trigger their colored-chip actions (p. 3).
