The Vanishing City
A solo fantasy adventure gamebook casts the player as Theobold Redbeard, ruler of Lighthall, after a strange light causes the entire city to vanish. The adventure leads through the magical kingdom of Trann and ultimately to the center of the sun in an attempt to restore the city. Players make choices, resolve challenges with two six-sided dice, and track hit points, skill points, experience points, and other character details. The branching story offers 18 possible endings.
