The Witnesses

In a polluted, overpopulated Neo Chicago, four replicants and a human police agent work to undermine the Yakuza crime syndicate through a new witness program. The replicants download and take over witnesses’ memories, gathering evidence for court cases while navigating acid rain, neon holograms, and pursuit by the Yakuza. The memories also grant new personality traits and reveal uncomfortable truths, challenging the group’s understanding of their identities and relationships.
