The Zhodani Candidate

Fourteen years after the Fourth Frontier War, the heir to the Duchy of Mora is preparing to marry a Marine recently returned from prolonged captivity with the Zhodani Consulate. Fearing that the Marine has been subjected to brainwashing, an Imperial security task force is assembled to investigate. Players take the roles of influential task force members, pursuing personal interests while questioning one another’s motives and evidence. The scenario centers on roleplaying, espionage, political maneuvering, social conflict, and player-versus-player intrigue, with minimal dice rolling or combat. Designed for a Referee and 4–5 players, it is suited to a single-session game or convention play.
