To Walk the Dark Road
A wilderness adventure for 4–5 Pathfinder characters of 7th level. The party retraces the route of a bygone army to recover a lost artifact while nightmares, monsters, and the land itself obstruct their journey through a region cursed by an ancient evil. The adventure focuses on survival, overland travel, suspense, and confronting personal fears. It includes three new magic items, the minor artifact Tear of the Mother, adventure hooks for parties of any alignment, and multiple ways to determine the artifact’s fate. Guidance covers pacing, building tension, and adjusting the adventure for larger or higher-level groups.
