Players take the roles of wealthy merchants in ancient Tadmor, expanding caravan routes and seeking prestige through trade, political favors, and religious construction. Camels and ships are placed across the Syrian Desert and coast to gather resources, acquire rare goods, complete the King's missions, and build the temple or tower. Marauders may raid selected regions, forcing merchants to anticipate danger and protect their investments, while variable improvements support different strategies from game to game.
