Dance of Ibexes

Players place numbered ibex tiles into four growing mountain rows, trying to avoid landing on spaces that cost penalty points. Each round everyone simultaneously selects a tile; tiles are revealed and placed from lowest to highest according to rules that require numbers to increase within a row and to minimize the gap to the row’s end tile. Landing on marked negative spaces moves a player’s marker up the penalty track; completing a row triggers scoring of the end-space penalty, moves the played tile to start the next empty row, and removes the remaining tiles from that row (players may keep one or two). Players may buy extra tiles for points, sometimes must play two tiles, and periodically must reveal choices in order. After the score track is finished or tiles run out, the fewest penalty points wins.
