Trollfjord

Trollfjord is a board game for 2–4 players. It plays in 45–60 minutes and is meant for ages 10 and up. Ludoya players call it best with 4. It is rated 1,6 out of 10 by 1 Ludoya reviewers.

Players place trolls around the rocky forts of a mountain ghost, positioning them to control their excavation capacity. On each turn, a wooden hammer strikes the tower to knock out rubble in different colours, allowing players to collect treasure tokens without exceeding the capacity provided by their nearby trolls. Tactical placement can also let players join another player’s excavation and benefit from the work already done. A time track around the board determines whether players place trolls or move them, creating choices between preparing new excavations and repositioning existing trolls. Luck affects the rubble removed, but careful planning helps control the results.
