Offerings are handled during the Income & Offerings phase: players place and resolve bids, and the winner of each god immediately pays the amount offered as part of that phase (p.5).

Yes — Zeus and Poseidon include mandatory actions: when you take Zeus you must perform the god’s mandatory build/recruit (Temple or Priestess), and when you take Poseidon you must perform his mandatory build/recruit (Port or Fleet); optional paid actions remain optional (p.7).

Ships move according to Sea Move rules and movement costs; a sea battle is triggered when opposing fleets end up in the same sea zone as a result of movement and is then resolved immediately using the Sea Battle procedure (p.8).

Land troops move following the Land Move rules and movement limits, and a land battle occurs when opposing troops end their moves on the same island; resolve combat using the Land Battle resolution steps (p.9).

Mythological creatures are purchased and come with their own miniature and card that specify special movement, abilities and maintenance requirements; many creatures require upkeep and their movement/abilities follow the creature rules on the card and in the creatures section (see creature rules p.12 and the creature reference pages p.14–p.17).

In team games players are paired and teams act/score jointly: teammates alternate turns as described and the team shares resources and the victory condition, with the team rules and turn sequence detailed in the Team Play section (p.13).
