Players start with identical small decks and buy cards from a shared market to build their decks during play. New card types introduce political and deceptive themes—cards that manipulate other players, offer multiple strategic choices, and add interaction to deckbuilding. Players draft purchases, play hands, and cycle their decks to gain actions, treasure, and victory points; the game supports expanded player counts and can integrate with the base set for larger or combined play.

Clásico de la gestión de mazos. Puede que haya juegos que lo hayan superado, pero sigue funcionando como un tiro y me divierte ir acumulando cartas y conseguir buenos combos. Muy completo y con muchísima variedad de cartas para no jugar nunca la misma partida.

When can I play Treasure cards — during the Action phase or the Buy phase?

Treasure cards are normally played during your Buy phase: you may play some or all Treasure cards from your hand then and add any coins from Action cards to pay for purchases; Treasures remain in play until Clean-up. (page 4)

If a card gives multiple options (like Pawn or Nobles), can I pick the same option twice or change my choice later?

For Pawn you must pick two different options (you cannot pick the same option twice) and then perform both in either order; for Nobles you choose one of the two options and cannot mix them — in general, once you make a choice you must complete as much of it as you can and you cannot change it later. (pages 8, 6)

If I need to draw or reveal cards but my deck is empty, when do I shuffle my discard pile?

If you must draw/reveal more cards than are left in your deck, draw/reveal as many as you can, then shuffle your face-up discard pile to form a new deck and continue drawing/revealing the remainder; you do not shuffle until you need to. (pages 3, 6)

Do cards that are more than one type (like Great Hall or Harem) count as both types for all purposes?

Yes — multi-type cards are all of their listed types for every purpose (e.g., Great Hall and Nobles are both Action and Victory; Harem is Treasure and Victory) and interact accordingly. (pages 6, 8)

Can I reveal more than one Reaction (like Secret Chamber or Moat) to the same Attack, and in what order are they resolved?

You may reveal multiple Reaction cards to a single event, but each Reaction must be completely resolved before revealing the next one; a Reaction revealed and resolved can allow you to then reveal another Reaction. (pages 6, 9)

When Saboteur makes me reveal cards until I find one costing 3+, and I need to shuffle during that, do I shuffle the already revealed cards back in?

If you need to shuffle to continue revealing, do not shuffle the already revealed cards back in; shuffle your discard to form a new deck and continue revealing, and if you go through all your cards without finding a qualifying card you discard the revealed cards. (page 8)
