Pioneer Rails

Players act as railroad owners expanding tracks across frontier land to connect towns and local features. On each turn, players choose from revealed poker cards and use the card’s suit to extend their railway on a personal flip-and-write sheet while adding the card’s value to a growing poker hand. Connecting to a town grants a one-time local bonus, and surrounding map features with tracks activates them for endgame scoring. Three shared objectives change priorities each game and award additional points. Scoring combines completed features and town bonuses with points for poker hands formed during the round.
