Players are woodland entrepreneurs drafting shaped glass tiles from a shifting river display by playing a piece from their inventory into the river to reach adjacent tiles. Each river tile accepts only specific shapes and the river advances after each draft, cycling new options into play. Collected glass is stored in a personal shop grid where placement matters: completing rows and columns grants bonuses while accumulating too many of the same type can incur penalties. Planning drafts and managing inventory balance scoring against available shapes and timing.

Do the glass pieces have to match the tile’s color when I place or gather them?
No. When placing and gathering, only the pieces’ shapes matter; when adding glass to your glassworks, only colors matter (pp. 2–3).
Can I gather from the tile I placed glass on, or from the lake?
You place one piece on a river tile with the matching shape, then gather all pieces from one adjacent river tile. You may instead place two pieces of the same shape on any river tile; the lake is never considered a river tile (p. 2).
What happens to the river after I gather glass?
Move the emptied tile to the start of the river, farthest from the lake, and shift the river to fill the gap. Refill the empty tile with as many pieces from the bag as the stones shown on the next tile (p. 2).
Do pieces from the lake go into my glassworks?
No. Glass gathered from the river goes into your glassworks, while glass drawn from the lake goes into your pan. When you draw, take four pieces, then refill the lake to five pieces (pp. 3–4).
What if I draw more pieces than fit in my pan, or can’t fit a color in my glassworks?
Your pan holds at most five pieces; if you exceed that, put pieces of your choice in overflow. In your glassworks, a piece also goes to overflow if its color column is full or you already have seven other colors (p. 3).
When does the game end, and how do we score?
Reaching or passing 17 on your inventory track triggers the end: finish the round so everyone has had the same number of turns, then each player takes one final turn. Score completed row segments, your two tallest columns (breaking ties by scoring the leftmost first), and lose 3 VP per overflow piece (p. 4).
