Players take on roles in a city-building card game set on an island economy, selecting one role each round to trigger an effect for everyone while gaining a personal privilege. Cards represent production buildings (indigo, sugar, tobacco, coffee, silver) and special violet buildings; cards in hand can be built or spent as currency, while cards from the deck represent produced goods placed face-down. Rounds proceed with role selection, production and construction actions, and a seven-card hand limit enforced once per round. Victory points come only from buildings, and the game ends when a player has constructed twelve buildings.
