In this game you select a die from the center, and place it on your action points track in the space matching the number of dice including itself that showed the same icon. Players go around spending action points until they've depleted three action points worth of dice in total. Three rounds, and you see who has the most victory points. Generally the meat of the game comes from taking recipe cards, and pushing cubes from bin to bin on your board until they can be spent to complete the recipes. You have some minor engine building elements, as once your first recipe of a given color is complete, you get a -1 cube discount on your future recipes of that color, and there are tiles that can be tapped to activate when you move a cube across their column. Overall gameplay feels very repetitive. The graphic design of the game actively works against your understanding of the game. Sometimes colors line up and are important and other times they don't line up or aren't important. Each die symbol has two icons associated with it for no clear reason. The dice drafting element only serves to randomly shut down your ability to complete certain cards each round, and adds very little to the decision points of the game. The game has narrow follow action effects, and gives you a lot of bottlenecks that serve to be more frustrating than interesting. ☆ Art, Iconography and components functional ☆ Clever or interesting mechanisms ☆ Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players ★ Multiple plays stay interesting ★ Low or mitigatable luck elements ★★☆☆☆ Raw enjoyment
